Join the 42.2k Ekiden Team Relay

This event is open for BRRC Members and Visitors to complete either an 5.275k (1 Lap), 10.55k (2 Laps), 21.1k (4 Laps)
OR form/join a Team of 2-6 Runners for the EKIDEN TEAM RELAY MARATHON of 42.2k (8 Laps).
All events will be run on a extended loop course of 5.275k beside the Brisbane River. Click Here for course map.

Members or Visitors wanting to run in the Ekiden Team Relay Marathon must form their own team of 2-6 runners and select a Team Name. The Team Name will be required when each team member registers for the Ekiden Relay Marathon.

Start time is 6.00am on Sunday 21st September, 2025.
​
Note:- an 9.00am 'cut-off time' applies to this event. If you are unable to complete your chosen distance before the cut-off time of 9:00am, please choose a shorter distance.
​
All Team Members running in The Ekiden Team Relay Marathon will start together at the start time of 6:00am and complete 1 or more lap up to a total of 8 laps for the Team. All 8 laps for the team must be completed prior to the cut-off time of 9:00am.

Teams competing in the Ekiden Team Relay will be eligible for the following prizes :

First All Male Team - $250- Gift Card
​
First All Female Team - $250- Gift Card
​
First Mixed Team* - $250- Gift Card
*(Female team member/s must complete a minimum of 2 of the 8 laps)
​
Members and Visitors must pre-register online from the Monday prior to each event date, until 7pm on the Saturday night before the event.
No late entries will be accepted and you will not be able to register on the morning of the event.​

Event Registration will open on Monday 15th September, and will close 7pm sharp on Saturday 20th September.
​

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION - please read before you register ​​

BRRC will only be using the Race Bibs/Numbers for the timing system this year. BRRC Members can continue to use the Bibs they were allocated last year. New Members will be able to collect their Race Bib/Number on the morning of the event from Bib Collection inside the Clubhouse prior to the start of the race. ​​​​​

​Visitors can collect a Temporary Bib from Bib Collection inside the Clubhouse on the morning of the event. Temporary Timing Bibs are to be returned to the clubhouse after your race. ​​

BRRC Members who have forgotten the Bib can collect a Temporary Bib from the Clubhouse on the morning of the event. Temporary Timing Bibs are to be returned to the Clubhouse after your race. ​​​​​​​

Bring your own water bottles and breakfast. A table will be provided on the roadside near the start/finish line for water bottles. After run fruit (e.g. Bananas) will be provided by BRRC at the water tables near the start/finish line.​​​​​​​

Please allow sufficient time to park & walk to the event, collect/exchange Timing Bibs, warm-up and be at the start line at 5:50am. The Pre-race Briefing and any other important safety messages will be delivered at start line prior to the start if needed.

ON RACE MORNING
​
If you require water during your run, place your water bottle on the tables near the start/finish line.
​
Toilets are located in Orleigh Park and the clubhouse.
​​
Please ensure your timing Race Bib is attached to your shirt or Shoe Tag is attached towards the front of your shoe. ​
​
If you have not yet collected your timing Race Bib, be sure to arrive in time to collect it from the Bib Collect/Uniform tent.
​​
If you have registered online and forget your timing Race Bib/Shoe Tag. Please call at the Bib Collection/Uniform tent and you can be issued a temporary 'Timing Bib' for the event, which is to be returned to the timing tent after your run.
Please note that a CUT-OFF TIME of 9:00AM applies to this event
​
At that time, the timing system will be switched off and all volunteers (including course marshals & drink station attendants) will begin packing up.
