Welcome to Brisbane Road Runners

Brisbane Road Runners Club (formerly known as the Queensland Marathon and Road Runners Club) was established in 1982.

The club caters for all levels of athletes from the casual runner to the elite athlete, as the philosophy is to assist members to achieve their goals at their own pace.

Our events, which are generally every second Sunday, are open to Club members and visitors alike.

However, due to COVID-19 all events have been replaced with “virtual” events, so Club Members can still participate in BRRC races, but close to their home.

(Sorry, but we are unable to accommodate Visitors with our 'virtual' events)

We encourage you to remain connected to the Club by submitting your race results after each BRRC run series you run.

We will be offering our normal race schedule and asking that you choose your race, record your time and upload your Strava, Garmin Connect, picture of your watch or whatever you've got to show your run.

Results will be published as normal so you can see how you're going with the rest of the BRRC athletes!

For further details about recording your times, check the Events page and scroll down to the current event.

We look forward to your participation.

All members will need to receive a new Timing Chip to use at our events in 2020, which will be available for collection from the first event you attend in the new year.

Our events are held fortnightly on a Sunday morning along the beautiful Brisbane River.  Whether you're a beginner or seasoned runner, visitors are always welcome to join us.

BRRC 'Virtual' Run Information

We're very excited to bring you Virtual BRRC !

What we're doing until things get back to normal, is giving Members the opportunity to race 'virtually' with all your BRRC friends following the current race schedule.

However, we insist that you comply with all of the Government and Health guidelines in relation to COVID-19.

That means, keep your Social Distance and don't go out in groups of greater than two.

This is really, very important.

This also means that we don't want, or expect, your runs to be on the normal BRRC course.

Just do the distance, preferably close to where you live, run hard, strong and happy.
