About BRRC

Brisbane Road Runners Club (formerly known as the Queensland Marathon and Road Runners Club) was established in 1982. Our events are generally held every second Sunday, normally at 6am, but sometimes at 6:30am for safety reasons, so it is best to check the relevent event page for current information and start times.

Events are conducted on an accurately measured 5k course along Riverside Drive at West End, Brisbane. For distances longer than 5km , multiple loops are used.

All events have police permits, marshals located along the course, and a table for BYO water near the SBSC Clubhouse. Electronic timing is used for accurate lap/finish times and a timing clock is positioned near the start/finish line.

Members pay no event entry fees and are able to pre-register online for our events in the lead-up to each event.

We provide a race experience through a regular race program to provide competition and motivation to help runners to achieve their best, whatever their ability.
